Confession

After the morning routine of breakfast and cartoons for my three littles, and even before I retreat to the shower with my pumpkin spice shampoo. I sit here at my computer looking into the lives of my friends and even some strangers that now feel as close friends. I long to blog with this group of amazing women who I have laughed with, cried with, crafted with, cooked with, agreed and disagreed with, parented with, and I have even shared good mail with, but I still hold back. Why?

I am a simple person. You will never have to use a dictionary to figure out what I am trying to say, or you will never have to ask your husband what was "she really trying to say here". I don't use fancy language like many of the women that I admire, and I may not use correct punctuation. You will know that I love my husband dearly, my three children are glued to my side, my friends are my life, and NOLA is home.

So, if you think you can live with this then check back, because I think I want to be apart of this world called blogging.

I love your last sentence, Allison. Yes! Be a part of it! Don't hold back. The best part of blogging is being able to be who you are, and being accepted for it.

It was lovely to meet you at the party, even though I didn't really get a chance to talk with you much. So glad you came.

Hey Allison! I have to admit that I sneak a peek at your blog occasionally from Brook's page. I loved your post about the resilient gerber daisies and the picture of all of the balloons rising into the bright blue sky. It was stunning! About blogging- it's so much fun! There are so many things you can write and share that you normally wouldn't face to face- you get to know your aquaintances better and your friends even better. Have fun and welcome back home!

You better keep a blogg'n because I love keeping in touch with you and your famliy this way. Your blog SHOULD reflect just who you are and not something you are trying to be!

I blog for my family and friends far away who otherwise wouldn't get to peek into our lives on a daily or weekly basis. I like to share what we are up to and the latest with my kiddos, plane and simpe! Sometimes I put a little more thought into it than others, but mostly I feel like it is just a regular old "update" of sorts, often unexciting. It is an outlet for me and a fun way to stay in touch with so many people I love and miss!

Simple is beautiful and so are you and what you have to say. . . keep on blogging!

P.S. it was so fun running into you in Utah.

OK, it is very late. . . or you could even say very early at this point. Just wanted to clarify that I meant to say PLAIN and simple and that I can spell FAMILY!

Hey Allison! So glad you are back. Don't worry about being simple. I only dream of writing as eloquently as some gals do on their blogs. It's the connections, the knowing that other people have the same feelings and problems as I do, that keep me blogging. Hope you decide to keep it up. :)

Allison, most days I feel the same way you just described in your post, hence the sporatic posts on my blog lately. I have come to grips with that I'm not as educationally spoken or written as the rest of the blog world, but love documenting my family's doings and goings that I have to push my lack of grammar, punctuation, and big words to the side and blog on.

I'm glad you updated and glad you are back.

Welcome back Allison! I think we all feel the same way about our writing skills, punctuation and so on. A blog is a personal thing, so ultimately you should do it for yourself, but the huge perk is to be part of the blogging community!
